Bears lose Urlacher

Reported this morning by Yahoo! sports, Chicago Bears middle linebacker Brian 'big, nasty, bad mutha-!ucker" Urlacher is out for the season. Urlacher, who showed he was back to his original form after two injury-ridden seasons, was poised for a big year. The injury came on a tackle of Ryna Grant late in the 1st quarter.

This injury comes as devastating news for the Bears. With a revamped defense and new QB at the helm, expectations for the Bears were high this year in many football circles and the Chicago media. The lose of Urlacher, who in many ways is the heart and leader of the defense, will surely change the dynamic of the whole team. And in a division with Adrian Peterson and Ryan Grant, the hole in the Chicago backfield will be exploited to the max.
